Guiding Mosaic (GM) has provided girls from across the world with a once in a lifetime opportunity. This year we invited members from our Twinning partner countries to share in the fun and adventure that GM has to offer. We are pleased to say that two of our sister organizations – the Guiding Association of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the Asociación Nacional de Guías Scouts del Perú – accepted our invitation and are currently sharing in the excitement of GM 2016.

The Twinning 2020 initiative has allowed girls from various guiding associations to enhance their global awareness and further their guiding programs. Through talking to many of the Provincial Commissioners of the Girl Guides of Canada, it is very obvious that the Twinning 2020 project is very beneficial to guiding programs within Canada. Girls were able to create authentic relationships with girls from different parts of the world, learn about different cultures, and even share their own heritage. However, the Twinning 2020 project wasn’t only successful in Canada, members from St. Vincent and the Grenadines and Perú both agree that they were given incredible opportunities to learn, connect and share in a worldwide guiding sisterhood.

We are glad to welcome these international members to GM 2016 and look forward to enhancing the Guiding Sisterhood in the future.
